How has the company supported you in achieving your career goals? Can you provide

an example of how they helped you develop new skills or take on new responsibilities?

ZBiz actually helped me recognize new skills and at the same time nourish the present skills that I have. Before I started working here, I know to myself that I don’t read much, especially the news, which is kind of ironic since I’m taking up Mass Communication. I’m more of a writer, sometimes a speaker, but not much of a reader. With the things I Iearned from ZBiz, I realized how much I’ve grown - from being a writer - to someone who is actually interested to read news online.

For the most part, ZBiz taught me how to be a team player, and it’s kind of interesting what a great team does. It’s true when they say “No man is an island”. In many instances in life, you will find yourself working with people, and there’s so much to learn from them. You may not notice, but they learn from you as well.

I’ve also become a more active listener and a person in general. I’ve grown to be more respectful of many ideas from other team members while suggesting my own. These collaborations made us solve problems, which eventually made us produce the best output.

Aside from that, working for ZBiz helped me hone my leadership skills. I’ve always been a “background” person, but I wouldn’t know that I have such skills if I hadn’t worked for ZBiz. I also wouldn’t know for certain that I actually enjoy taking up challenges.

How do you stay organized and how do you prioritize your workload when dealing with

multiple clients or projects?

Each person works differently but I’m the type of person who keeps certain tasks or articles in a group or lists a step-by-step of the things that I should do within the day, or within this particular timeframe. When working for multiple clients or projects, I prioritize urgent tasks. All projects are important, but most of the time I work on the urgent ones so it’s easier for me and for everyone else to move on. If I had to choose between easy tasks and hard tasks, I personally finish the easy tasks as soon as I can because I take up so much time doing hard tasks. I’m not sure if it works for others, but it saves me time and helps me relax afterwards. It’s also important that you utilize technology and make use of certain applications that may help you big time along the way.

What do you enjoy most about working with clients and providing exceptional service?

In all honesty, it’s really a good feeling when the clients give feedback and say how much they appreciate the work, or tell you how grateful they are with your service. What I enjoy the most is holding the thought that each day, I am working with new or unique ideas, and I appreciate these personally because I know it will benefit me in the future. Most definitely, I enjoy it when I feel needed, and when I help provide solutions to both their wants and needs. Sure, it’s not all sunshine, but it’s always like a success story when they renew their contracts with us.

What is your most memorable experience in ZBiz?

Everyday is a memorable experience, but I would say that the event that struck me the most is when I learned how thoughtful and caring employees are in ZBiz. It is quite challenging to juggle both my studies and work, but I manage to get by because of the healthy environment in ZBiz.

I’ve seen how they value their employees’ mental health, especially when they’re having a hard time. They would always keep a check on how we’re doing, kudos to my supervisor for being such a good influence and teaching me this. People can be productive if they’re motivated and cared for, mentally or physically. I’m glad I’m in an environment that gives importance to these. I am also extremely proud of my team, as I am surrounded with the most amazing, thoughtful, and incredibly smart people.

In my first year as an employee, I’m glad to say that I worked (though I don’t have plans of leaving yet) in ZBiz.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

If I could have any superpower, I would choose to have an insane amount of speed and energy poured in my system. With that, I can do many things in a short amount of time. In reality, working comes with pressure, but with that kind of superpower, I can actually save a lot of time, save me from pressure, and help the team with their needs.

If you had to watch one movie on repeat, what would it be?

I would never get tired of rewatching “The Devil Wears Prada”, which starred Anne Hathaway. It says so much about perseverance, and doing your best in work. The movie also showed how Andy (Anne) struggled with her personal life as she was focused on doing her best in work, and satisfying her boss’ needs. It actually taught me to manage my work-life balance well. Since Andy was working so much to satisfy her boss’ needs, there are instances where the workplace can be toxic, but this would be another lesson that other companies or organizations can pick up.

All in all, I would highly recommend everyone to watch it!
